Once or twice a week, preferably in the evening, apply a thick layer to the face and neck after cleansing. Leave on for 15 minutes and remove with a muslin cloth soaked in lukewarm water.
Vitamin C is very unstable in the presence of light, water and air, which means that when exposed to these elements, it becomes inactive and can irritate the skin.
