Evening primrose from Saint Charles is gently cold pressed and from controlled organic cultivation.

The evening primrose is an ornamental plant and was introduced into Europe in the middle of the 17th century. The plant, which grows up to two meters high, bears golden yellow, sweet-scented blossoms in the summer, which first open late in the evening. The evening primrose oil is derived from the seeds of the primrose and is rich in both linoleic acids (omega-6) and gamma-linolenic acids (omega-3).

Saint Charles plant-based oils are characterised by:

  • Organic quality (agriculture – oil mills – filling/distribution)
  • High quality: the preservation of valuable ingredients by careful cold pressing by a regional Saint Charles partner company
  • Short as possible transport routes and the avoidance of unnecessary packaging
