Black Cumin Oil from Saint Charles is carefully cold-pressed and from certified organic cultivation.

Black cumin belongs to the buttercup (Ranunculaceae) family and grows to about 30-50 cm in height. It is primarily cultivated in the Arab world. Organic black cumin oil from Saint Charles is derived from organic farming in Egypt.

Black cumin oil has had a very long tradition in herbal medicine and was used in skin care in the time of Cleopatra. Black cumin oil contains up to 60 percent unsaturated fatty acids, especially gamma-linolenic acids and in addition, many vitamins and minerals. It can be used pure, in salads or in mueslis.

Saint Charles plant-based oils are characterised by:

  • Organic quality (agriculture – oil mills – filling/distribution)
  • High quality: the preservation of valuable ingredients by careful cold pressing by a regional Saint Charles partner company
  • Short as possible transport routes and the avoidance of unnecessary packaging
