Frankincense, myrrh and gold are the precious gifts of the Three Wise Men, which are purported to provide comprehensive support to the body, mind and spirit. Under the influence of light and heat of the southern sun frankincense trees and myrrh produce increased essential oils and resins. It is said then that these substances are therefore imbued with illuminating and warming properties. Gold is a „metal of the light“ and therefore also subject to the sun. Sun, just like gold, both represent vitality and vigour. Frankincense, myrrh and gold are said to transmit the sunshine to man, thus stimulating the light of knowledge.
