Cistus is probably the most polyphenol-rich plant in all of Europe and a true allround talent. The leaves of the shrub exude a pungent fragrance, which comes from the resin of the cistus, labdanum. Labdanum has warming, purifying and grounding properties. The cistus bears the symbol of the sun and the warmth within it. On a mental and spiritual level it unfolds its protective and calming powers, gently enveloping like a balm for the soul. It strengthens internal power resources, stabilises when panic and anxiety arise from sudden emergencies and brings back inner clarity and overview.
