The new Hotel Botanic Sanctuary Antwerp sets new standards in terms of ambience, sustainable design and innovation. For in the middle of Antwerp, a listed 15th century monastery surrounded by a botanical garden has been transformed into an extraordinary 5-star superior Leading Hotel of the World.
Exceptional hotel concept
The legacy of the historic site is preserved, in particular that of the Antwerp botanist and pharmacist Peeter van Coudenberghe, who is considered the founder of the Botanical Garden. In his historic monastery pharmacy, herbs from the garden were processed directly into remedies. These premises and traditional apothecary facilities have been lavishly restored to write a new chapter in history. Saint Charles plays a significant role in this:
"It almost seems like a historic mission, a connection that can't really be coincidental. The extraordinary project of the Antwerp Botanic Sanctuary fascinated and excited us from the first minute. We fully saw ourselves in the concept and realised that we are united by an intense passion for nature and for continuing a tradition." (Alexander Ehrmann, Richard König, Saint Charles)
The first Saint Charles store in Benelux
The historic 18th century pharmacy on the hotel grounds has been brought back to life with Saint Charles. It is now home to the first Saint Charles store in Benelux. The traditional furnishings of the pharmacy, including cabinets and shop elements, have been lovingly restored. The store offers around 400 Saint Charles products from the areas of natural cosmetics, aromatherapy and nutritional supplements. With special tasting areas and a friendly sales team, the store becomes a place of well-being and enjoyment.
Saint Charles products in the rooms
Guests staying in the exceptional rooms and suites of the Botanic Sanctuary Antwerp can look forward exclusively to Saint Charles' 1886 natural cosmetics range. This fragrant composition consists of organic essential oils of lavender, rosewood, lemongrass and sage and fits perfectly into the botanical concept of the hotel.
Holistic spa concept
The Botanic's 1000 m² spa area also breaks new ground. Here, the focus is on botanical well-being. The monastic heritage is reflected in the holistic spa concept, which focuses on naturopathy, phytotherapy, traditional European medicine and ancient methods of healing and prevention. The spa offer also includes Saint Charles facial and body treatments. The multi-sensory treatments are based on high-quality natural cosmetics and aromatherapy and offer a holistic experience for body, mind and soul.
