The country of origin of Palo Santo is Peru. Its use among the Indian population as a panacea goes back to a thousand-year-old tradition . In Colombian folk medicine, palo santo is used as an analgesic (anti-inflammatory agent), aphrodisiac, diuretic (diuretic), expectorant, insecticide or as a means of ritual purification. The wood is either boiled or burnt to release its fragrance.
The effects of palo santo
It is said that evil spirits shun the characteristic scent of the resin contained in the wood.
