Often time and knowledge are lacking to provide hair and scalp with an extra care boost. We reveal a recipe for the basis of an aloe vera mask that can be easily made at home to care for hair and scalp at any time of the year - both when it gets colder and drier due to the heating air, as well as after sunbathing on holiday for more moisture. The sustainable mask can be refined with natural essential oils depending on the care requirements and helps where it is needed. It is rich in minerals, vitamins, amino acids and phytonutrients and has a corresponding anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effect. The scalp is grateful. Aloe vera moisturises the hair.
Tip: We have recorded on video how we mix the mask!
INGREDIENTS: For a homemade hair mask
1 tablespoon aloe vera oil
3 tablespoons aloe vera pulp
2 tbsp argan oil / almond oil / jojoba oil
Organic essential oils of your choice, e.g. bergamot + muscatel sage
Preparation
Place all ingredients in a stand mixer or blend with a hand blender. Use 5-10 drops of the essential oils depending on the desired intensity.
APPLICATION
- Apply a small amount of Aloe Vera Gel to the scalp, parting by parting, and massage in. (The best effect is achieved when the mask is applied directly to the hair root).
- Then apply a small amount to the ends of the hair. (This step is especially recommended for dry and damaged hair).
- Leave the mask on for about 15-30 min. Afterwards, wash the hair with a mild shampoo and style as usual
Which essential oils should be used?
We recommend against dandruff and for dry scalp: Lemongrass, Muscat sage, Rosemary, Tea tree oil.
For hair loss and hair growth: lavender, ylang-ylang, peppermint, sandalwood.
