Hemp belongs to one of the oldest cultivated plants on earth and was used very early on for the manufacture of clothing, as paper, canvasses or sails. Currently, hemp is being rediscovered as an industrial, biological raw material. Hemp has also found its uses in herbal medicine due to its fatty acid composition, which makes it unique.
The important omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids are present in hemp oil in an optimal ration. These are found in ratios of about 1:3 (omega-3 to omega-6 fatty acids), so that hemp oil is not only used as a gourmet oil in the refinement of foods, but also in the areas of health care.
Saint Charles plant-based oils are characterised by:
