Vegan Omega-3 Power
With a content of approximately 58 percent of the valuable alpha-linolenic acids (omega-3) linseed oil belongs not only to the best plant-based source of omega-3, but also provides valuable vitamins (provitamin A, B1, B2, B6, C, D and E), trace elements and minerals (iron, potassium, calcium or magnesium) or lignans (plant antigens).
Polyunsaturated fatty acids are essential compounds of our cells and are important for cell communication. It has been proven that omega-3 supports the positive HDL cholesterol levels and contributes to the normal function of the heart and brain. There are numerous studies and tests available on the positive health effects of linseed oil.
We recommend 1-2 tablespoons of fresh and organic linseed oil daily. Due to the mild, slightly nutty taste, linseed oil is a perfect accompaniment in muesli, yoghurt, in your smoothie or poured over finished dishes. In linseed cultivation areas linseed is traditionally eaten with potatoes and curd or quark.
