Organic almond oil from Saint Charles is gently cold pressed and from certified organic cultivation.
The almond tree grows up to ten meters in height and belongs to the rose family. Almond oil is extracted from the ripe nuts of the almond tree through cold pressing. In addition to a high content of monounsaturated fatty acids and linoleic acids (omega-6 fatty acids) it is rich in vitamins E and B.
Almond oil has been a popular folk remedy for centuries and was already in use in ancient times as a healing cosmetic. Next to its external application it is also used in the kitchen as an alternative to olive oil. Saint Charles Mandelöl Bio is cultivated in Spain and gently cold pressed at a regional oil mill.
