Palo Santo – the "holy wood" – grows in the dry forests of South America. To obtain the resin, the bark is carefully scored; the sap that seeps out hardens in the air into small, fragrant pieces. Our Palo Santo resin comes from Peru.
The scent is woody and warm, with a delicate sweet note. For centuries, the indigenous peoples of South America have used the smoke of Palo Santo in their rituals to clear spaces and focus the mind. Traditionally, it is said to have a calming and at the same time uplifting effect – ideal for space clearing, meditation and every conscious new beginning.
Bursera graveolens (Palo Santo resin)
Light the charcoal in a suitable vessel until it is fully glowing. Then place a little resin on the charcoal and let it smoulder. Briefly air the room afterwards.
Never leave incense smouldering unattended. Use only on a fire-resistant surface and at a sufficient distance from flammable materials. Ventilate well during and after burning. Keep out of the reach of children and pets. If you have asthma or sensitive airways, please dose carefully or refrain from burning incense. Not suitable for consumption.
